Academic Advising/Course Registration
The EWHS counseling program utilizes standards that guide school counseling professionals, to implement strategies and activities to support and maximize each student’s ability to learn.
Class Registration
One of the most important decisions a high school student can make involves selection of their course of study. At Edmonds Woodway High School we believe that this decision is best made with the partnership of parents, faculty, and students.
EWHS encourages students and parents to review the registration materials carefully before making your decisions. School counselors will be visiting classrooms to review the registration process, materials and be available to meet with individual students during the months of February, March and April.
Although we strive to provide clear and comprehensive information about all of our courses and programs, you may have questions that should be directed to a school counselor. We hope both students and parents find high school a challenging and rewarding educational experience.
Registration for the upcoming school year begins in early February and finishes in late March. Please make sure you're prepared for registration by using the resources below.
Course Fees
The school district will provide each student with the materials and supplies necessary to learn basic skills taught in their classes. However, some classes may require the student to pay a fee for consumable materials. If a student is unable to work out satisfactory arrangements for payment of these fees, contact the school counseling office for assistance. Funds may be available to pay for fees for students who need support, including all students who qualify for the Free and Reduced Meals Program. Students or guardians may need to provide the district-generated “Eligibility Notification Letter” provided by the Food Service Office.
